​Below is a list of CHEM Technical Standards.
Several of these standards are currently under review, with the status of each review noted beneath the corresponding Document Overview section.

The following standards have been recently updated and reissued: TS6, TS7, TS8, TS9, and TS13.
​
TS3 and TS14 are currently being updated, with revised versions expected by the end July 2025.
​
TS2, TS5, TS10, and TS11 are also under revision, with updates scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.

TS 1 - Stationary Compactor Rating Criteria
Issue 3.
Document Overview
This document defines the basic elements of a compactor, including the calculation methods for charge box volume, cycle time, and volume displacement. It also outlines general manufacturing requirements and provides dimensional specifications necessary for attachment to compactor containers.

TS 2 - 10 cu.m. Compacted Waste Container for Lift Off Vehicle

TS 16 - Vehicles for the Collection and Transportation of Waste in Bulk. General Requirements and Safety Requirements - Skip Loaders

Document Overview
This document provides information and guidance on the significant hazards related to the operation of skiploaders and follows up with a comprehensive account of the essential safety requirements and protective measures to be taken in their design and manufacture. The standard includes information to be provided by the manufacturer to the user and information on fitting. The annexes and appendix give diagrammatical information on travelling heights, procedures for calculating safe working loads and a safe working load plate.
Review Schedule
This document is currently under review. The upcoming revision will include an updated list of normative reference documents, an assessment of the impact of these updates, and new considerations for the use of remote controllers with skip loaders. The updated version is scheduled for release in 2027.
TS 17 - Vehicles for the Collection and Transportation of Waste in Bulk. General Requirements and Safety Requirements - Ground Level Demountable Body Systems (Hook Type).

This document provides information and guidance on the significant hazards related the operation of hook loaders and follows up with a comprehensive account of the essential safety requirements and protective measures to be taken in their design and manufacture. The standard includes information to be provided by the manufacturer to the user and information on fitting. A diagram is included illustrating the method for stability and safe working load calculations.
Review Schedule
This document is currently under review. The forthcoming revision will include an updated list of normative reference documents, an evaluation of the impact of these updates, and additional considerations for the use of remote controllers with hook-lift systems. The updated version is scheduled for release in 2027.
